This article is really basic. If you are really worried about interviewing and need tips it can't hurt to read it. If you have been around the block then it probably isn't too important to read. I threw it in for those who want to do as well as they can on the interview.
Interview Questions that are difficult.
Do you prefer to work alone or in a group?
This one is a tricky question. The way you should answer this depends on what your job entails. If you are interviewing at a busy restaurant as a server you should probably answer as a group. If you are interviewing for a stocker in a warehouse during the graveyard shift working alone will be okay. Keep in mind what you are interviewing for and tailor your answer to make a good impression.
Tell me about yourself?
Don't talk about how you have a cat named jinky. This is the time to express yourself in a professional manner and toot your own horn. A good way to answer this is to talk about two or three things that relate to the job and relate to you. An example of this is how you love working with people and helping them achieve results. Describe a past achievement don't talk about yourself too much incorporate a few things about your team. Nobody likes someone who is too boastful.
What was your biggest failure and what did it teach you?
If you are going to go ahead and tell the interviewer about a time you failed or did something wrong make it early in your career. You don't want the mistake to be during the last few months or within the last year. You don't want it to be something like losing a hundred thousand dollar account. Make sure it is something minor and make sure you learned something very important from it.
Tell me about a time you disagreed with your supervisor?
This is tricky because some managers want to hire people who solely agree with them. They are called so called "Yes Men". Then again you aren't going to always agree with your supervisor. Make sure you tell about a time when you were trying to decide on which candidate to hire and you saw different qualites in the different candidates. Do not talk about any arguments with your old boss.
Those were a few interview 101 tips. Follow these tips on interviewing and they will take you a long way and get you the job of your dreams.
